Performance % = (ideal cycle × total count) ÷ run time × 100.

Tip: Keep “Ideal Cycle Time” and “Total Count” on the same basis (period, units, and population) before calculating Performance Rate.

The Formula

Scenario: Ideal cycle 0.5 min; 800 pieces; run time 432 min.
Step 1: (0.5 × 800) ÷ 432 ≈ 0.9259
Step 2: × 100 ≈ 92.59%
Answer: Performance is about 92.59%.
