Availability % = operating/run time ÷ planned production time × 100.

Tip: Keep “Run Time” and “Planned Production Time” on the same basis (period, units, and population) before calculating Availability Rate.

Scenario: Run time 432 minutes; planned 480 minutes.
Step 1: 432 ÷ 480 = 0.9
Step 2: × 100 = 90%
